First Day of Kindergarten = Success !!!

August 15, 2015 – not sure why this wasn’t posted when i wrote it, but here it is for memory sake.

Welcome to your first day of Kindergarten;

The day started with picking out what to wear for your first day. You are been so excited to wear your new uniform. Navy blue pants, a red polo and the new white sneakers was the choice for your first day. The morning started with lots of energy and excited from you and clearly you were so ready to start this day.

Mommy had a pretty little sign made up for you so we can take lots of pictures. Every little thing was just so new and so exciting. We made sure all of our supplies were in the car and off we went. We have taken this same exact route for many years now. But instead of dropping you off at daycare, we were just going to drop of your sisters and off we go to Big School.

I believe your biggest concern for this change was that you wouldn’t see your sisters during the day, that you would miss them so so much. And that was just so incredibly sweet of you. As always you wanted to help mommy and you unbuckled yourself so you could help me unbuckle the girls and of course, give them bear hugs, kiss them and let them know that you will miss them. You are incredibly sweet and you love your sisters so very much.

Off we went, Big School here we come!!!

Daddy was waiting for us in the parking lot. We joined together in the car to snap some photos and make some calls before it was time to go inside.

We took pictures right outside of the school, in front of the school sign. There you stood, all grown up with your backpack in tow and just ready to start your new adventures.

Inside we went. I could see in your eyes the excitement and the small little hint of worry. Quickly enough we met a few people and somehow that distracted you. The school bell rang………off we went to find your classroom.

There you were, all grown up, walking down the hallway with your backpack in tow and holding daddy’s hands. Classroom number 12, Mrs. Faroh’s class.

She welcomed you with a big bright smile and comforting words. We went through your school supplies and she showed you where to hang your backpack and asked you to find your name that was placed in one of the tables.

As mommy was taking some pictures you quickly found your way. There you were sitting at your table, already building things. Daddy sat by you and carried on a conversation while we waited for others to arrive. Your worried eyes seem to get less and less worried as more little ones arrived and once your long time friend Alyssa arrived, all was well in the world. Mommy and daddy are so proud of you big guy. You are amazing and you take on things in such a way that truly amazes me.

It was time for mommy and daddy to leave and you kissed us good-bye and carried on without any problems. That is just amazing to me.

Mommy & daddy also did great. No tears running down just a few watery eyes. Of course I can only speak for myself, but the thought of “what is he doing right now ?” dominated my mind the entire day.

Pick up time came around and mommy was ready to hear all about your day.
There you two were. Patryck and Alyssa talking up a storm and being best friends. So precious to see.

I asked you how your day went and all I could hear was pure joy and excitement from the both of you.

I think what I got out of it was FUN FUN FUN, but I’ll try to write it out a little bit better.

You built things, you made friend, Mrs.Faroh read a book about the Gingerbread Man, then you colored a gingerbread man. Then Mrs. Faroh read another book Mr.Happy, to which you said “we have that book mommy, so I already knew it”.
You went outside to play and you had hamburger, fries, corn and a pickle salad for lunch (not sure about that salad).

All in all it sounded to me like your entire day took only about 30 minutes…………lol

We dropped off your friend and off we went for a little time with mommy. Which consistent of getting you some shoes to play outside, some icee and a little trip to an office store so mommy could get some office supplies.

So, your first day of Kindergarten was a SUCCESS. You did an amazing job! Mommy and Daddy are so very proud of you! Here’s to a year filled with lots of fun and lots of learning!
